Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO)

Your safari adventure begins with a warm welcome upon arrival at the Kilimanjaro Airport, where you’ll be met by your professional safari guide and transferred to the Gran Melia Hotel in Arusha City, just 50 km from the airport. Gran Melia is a five star hotel with an exclusive view of Mount Meru, the second highest peak after Kilimanajro. Relax and unwind in style when you settle into your lavish lodge, nestled in the foothills of Mount Meru.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Manyara

After breakfast , you’ll be greeted by your professional driver guide and drive approximately 140 km, which may take three hours (depending on the traffic) to Tarangire National Park. Known for its dense elephant population and iconic baobab trees, Tarangire offers thrilling game drives amidst picturesque landscapes. Explore the park’s diverse habitats, spotting wildlife such as lions, giraffes, and leopards. In the late afternoon, check out of Tarangire, and transfer to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, leave your hotel and depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a hidden gem nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley. Explore the park’s diverse habitats, from lush forests to open grasslands and the shimmering lake itself. Keep an eye out for tree-climbing lions, elephants, hippos, and an abundance of birdlife, including flamingos. Enjoy game drives and nature walks in the town of Mto Wa Mbu, soaking in the beauty of this unique wilderness. In the evening, drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Lake Manyara-Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, drive approximately 189 km (4 to 5 hours, depending on the traffic on the way) to the legendary Serengeti National Park, one of the most iconic safari destinations in Africa. Here, you can witness the spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration, wherein tens of thousands of hoofed animals traverse the Serengeti in search of greener pastures. Take a game drive through the park to see lions, leopards, and other elusive predators, and marvel at the abundance of wildlife that calls this pristine wilderness home. In the late afternoon, before sunset, transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park full day.

Wake up early to hear the sounds of the savanna and go on an exciting game drive through Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti has a lot of wildlife, from herds of elephants and giraffes to the pride of lions and elusive leopards. After exploring all day, come back to your lodge or hotel and eat delicious food under the stars.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater and karatu

After breakfast, we leave the Serengeti and drive approximately 150 km to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, a beautiful place with lots of different animals. Descend into the crater’s vast caldera and marvel at the sight of rhinos, hippos, and flocks of flamingos gathered around the crater’s soda lake. As the sun sets over the horizon, check out of Ngorongoro, drive to your luxurious lodge in Karatu, and unwind with a glass of wine by the fire.

Day 7: Karatu – Arusha (Cultural Immersion and Departure)

After breakfast, bid farewell to the hotel staff as you make your way to the coffee farm for a unique cultural experience. Here, you’ll embark on a guided tour of a local coffee farm, learning about the traditional methods of coffee cultivation and processing. Engage in hands-on activities such as picking coffee beans and roasting them over an open fire, followed by a tasting session of freshly brewed Tanzanian coffee. Immerse yourself in the rich aromas and flavors of Tanzania’s beloved beverage before departing for Kilimanjaro Airport for an outbound flight, carrying a piece of Tanzania’s warmth and hospitality with you wherever you go!
