
SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti is the home to African highest density of plain game and hosts one of the greatest wildlife spectacles each year, when millions of animals set off their annual migration, the park is termed as a one of the worlds famous wildlife areas and its a UNESCO World Heritage site as well.

What is the best time to visit the park:
The park can be reached year around and most of the accommodation are open.
- Dry Season (June – October): Ideal time for seeing the wildebeest migration and a large number of animals roaming the park, this is very busy season in Serengeti.
- Green Season (November – May): Perfect time to see green park with fewer visitors. During this time, many animals give birth, and bird migration take place, offering excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
How to reach the park
The park can be reached by road transfer and flying with small aircraft:
1. Road transfer: It takes about 6 to 7 hours drive from Arusha via Ngorongoro to the Serengeti National Park. This is a common route taken by most visitor which offers multiple stops on the way, including Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater.
The drive to the parks is simply beautiful and allows you to see the Rift Valley and experience northern Tanzania. Many visitors choose to drive one way to take in the scenery and then fly back for a quicker return journey.
2. Flying (small aircraft): Regular flights are scheduled from Arusha to Serengeti takes about1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the specific airstrip you’re landing at. Some flights make stops at other parks like Lake Manyara or Ngorongoro before reaching Serengeti.
Flying remains the best way to reach the park as you will start to explore the wildlife before landing on the airstrip.
